But, then again, if a 3-game series goes 3 draws, it's still a best-of-3 scenario. It would put a little more pressure on the team with two shootout losses to push all-in for a win to advance.

Good point. Your scenario makes more sense, then. A regulation win should be worth more in some fashion. And all of the extra shootouts feel overdone. But, ticket sales, broadcast rights, etc., will (unfortunately) drive the decision.

This feels a lot like how AFL (Australian Rules Football) does their playoff system. Gives a little extra safety net to the top ranked teams.

I thought 3 points for a win, 2 points for a shootout win, 1 point for a shootout loss; first to 5 points. Modeled after Jagermeister Cup point system in USL. Not sure how different that would be from yours.

Opening question from Prager U teacher qualification quiz. Question asks, "what/which best describes you?" Choices are parent/ grandparent, teacher/ educator, student, and other. Image shows all four selected.

First, why would the other groups need to pass a teaching qualification?

Second, try as I might, I could not get the test to fail me/kick me out. I could retry questions multiple times and it just let me try again. I wish the ACT, SAT, and Praxis were as "rigorous" as this.

Two thoughts come to mind. One, I fear this will add a new dynamic to the "how hard can teaching be?" crowd. Look - I passed the test; I must be far more capable than *those* teachers.

Second, and I can try this myself, can you even fail the test? It always gave me another chance last time.

The Pledge of Allegiance question caught my eye. A previous question identified the freedom to choose a religion without government influence, but then you force a person to answer with "under god" despite another option, which was the original Pledge for several decades.

This feels like a really interesting Geometry area lesson. Wondering if students could come up with a better, optimized, layout on their own, and how would they measure it?
