They were outstanding in the group stages, dropping only a few points, and showed real determination in the semi-finals – coming back from 1–0 down to win 2–1. In a tense final that went to sudden death, the lads narrowly missed out on the top spot but gave it everything!

It was a brilliant day of literature, culture and enrichment – and a wonderful opportunity for our Sixth Form students to deepen their understanding of the play in a memorable, real-world setting.

Well done to all who took part, and thank you to staff for supporting such an inspiring experience.

Our A level English students enjoyed a fantastic trip to London last week as part of their study of Othello.

After exploring Covent Garden and walking through the heart of the city via Trafalgar Square, students took their seats at the theatre for a powerful performance of Shakespeare’s tragedy.

Year 12, representing Three Spires Sixth Form, were outstanding. They won all four group matches, powered through the semi-final and beat Heath Park 7–2 in the final to take the title.

Their examples encourage us to reflect on how we can show kindness, lead with integrity, & support one another.

All Souls’ Day, which follows, is a time to remember loved ones who have died. We hold their memory with gratitude & honour the impact they continue to have on our hearts & our lives.
