If no candidate wins a majority, the top two vote earners go to a runoff election, scheduled for May 26th, 2026. From the National Conference of State Legislatures, they inform us voters have 30 days before an election to register to vote. Online voter registration is not allowed in Texas. Voters can not register to vote on election day.
