We’ve updated our standards for newborn blood spot screening.
Blood spot screening is offered to all newborn babies to identify specific conditions after birth.
The test is done by taking a blood sample from the baby's heel.

We’re developing standards for the national diabetic eye screening programme which aims to reduce the incidence of vision loss through diabetes.
