We all still watch it, even though we’re all scattered now, one brother in Walsall, other in Cannock, Mum in Tunstall and my aunt in Uttoxeter and I’ve been in Redditch since i was 16.

The tradition means more now as we lost Nan in 2020. The opening tune of “walking in the air” makes me weep.

Still reminds me of my family’s tradition, every Christmas Eve, the whole family on my Mums side would gather at my Nans house. My Nan would put out a buffet, make mince pies and we would all gather around the TV for The Snowman. We did it every year until I was 16.

This year my body’s choice on which organs that want to stop working was my kidneys. Chronic protein in my urine, swollen feet… i need a real life hexcore.

Pooled up my Christmas money and I've got a new iPad coming tomorrow.

Been trying out a new, innovative way to manage my blood sugar levels. Turns out CGM is actually better than doing frequent finger prick tests.

I woke up early. Why? Oh yeah, to buy a new washing machine like most other sane and rational people.

Ah well, at least on the 17th we’ll be able to wash our own laundry. Being without any major appliances is rough.

This years mad dash to make Christmas cards is at end. How much fun though.

We lost our Sonic a couple of weeks back, just before Halloween. Then on the 29th (which is a really tough day as it’s an anniversary of something that really hit my family hard, fuck COVID..) this little guy came to join us. This is Sett. He broke out of the cage, twice.

Also, I don't like taking my iron tablets as it can be a nightmare for bowel issues...

Feeling this. Tried to see if i still needed my iron supplement. Turns out its just a chronic issue.

Jayce is currently looking at and appraising some of my card collections. I can imagine Viktor showing off his collection and Jayce being impressed.

Working on something a little different. Jayce has a crystal rose skin, so I’m giving Viktor one.

I decided to bead after all. Shimmering threads and glittering seed beads works so well. Now to find a frame for it.

Another finished piece. I really took out my unfinished projects stack and ran with it. I find cross stitching so satisfying and relaxing

Not sure if it’s the extra pain meds or the rotten chest infection I’ve got but ugh…

In that binder (also a zip binders, because it’s a more secure way to store them as dust and dander doesn’t get in so easily.)

It’s got a mix of different cards from different games but those ones are the “money cards”, the ones worth a lot and their value still goes up.

When you consider how much some of these little bits of cardboard with holographic images are actually worth it’s a bit mind boggling to say the least.

That’s why it’s so important to protect and preserve them as well as you can.

My red Grailguard goes a step beyond normal binders.

I’m currently working on transferring all of my card collections, (I have a lot of different ones) out of ultra pro sleeves as honestly there are way better and more cost effective options. Ultra pro just doesn’t have the best quality imo, they tear or dent too easily.

Finally sorted out Transformers TCG battle cards now just need more A5 6 ring binders and 4 pocket pages.

Also, finished double sleeving my Temporal Forces Pokémon set. That binder looks amazing, I’m finding the VaultX Zip binders particularly nice, they just look at feel better than Ultra Pro

Arcane Healer Viktor, I wanted to make a version that was more true to the show version. Arcane Saviour is beautiful but this is more like when he was healing people at the commune.

I finally finished this. Had a really rough couple of weeks from what started as a virus turned in to a chest infection which is still trying to come back after 2 weeks of antibiotics (my lungs are awful, they suck at being lungs) and needed a project to keep me sane. So this was the result.
