I've never really been good at barbell cleans. Today was different.
90 lbs. total in barbell weights + 35-45 lb. bar (dunno the exact weight of the bar, will check next time I go.) That's roughly 125-135 lbs. cleaned.

Proud? Abso-fucking-lutely.

So I was a bit wrong about my last post.

Worked Instacart all of Saturday and all yesterday and managed to snag $210, in just two days.

The tradeoff? Not just mileage and gas, but my physical being was spent too 🙃

This is not to say there ISN'T activity around where I live but it's a little jarring how much different the demand for Instacart delivery, Uber/Lyft rides, etc. is compared to when I lived back up north.

Though it could just be me.

Not gonna lie while I'm glad that I have a car again, it's crazy that where I live now doesn't see too much side-gig activity.

For context when I lived in my previous apartment I was pretty close to a lot of stores and thus close to a lot of Instacart batches.

Finally, after about eight months of painstakingly waiting, I finally have my own car again.

Update on this:

Finally managed to get a verbal agreement on a used Chevy, funnily enough it's the same model as my first car (Cruze). All I have to do now is pay the down payment and wait for it to pass inspection/get registered.

The bad news is I'm gonna be out $2K 😭

Update: I guess there were only 94 runners for the 10-miler, so that places me about middle of the pack.

Final time was 1:37.14 (9:44/mile pace). For my first 10-mile race, that's not half bad.

Also on the last mile I made the mistake of trying to stretch my legs a bit and cramped up. Still was able to finish but that shit hurt like hell.

Anyway once the final results are complete I'll update y'all. (3/3)

Only two issues though: at one point there was a Y-fork and a sign telling us to go straight but nobody was directing us which fork to take, so a chunk of us accidently went the wrong way (not too far though, only about three-tenths of a mile I believe). (2/3)

Race results from a 5K I ran last Saturday. 16th out of 72 runners.

In my defense the first half mile was one slow, long uphill and I think that's what really screwed me up.

Up next is a ten miler on the 21st. Yes, a ten mile race. Time to bust my ass.
