I’m told by the officer responding to my 311 report that this magnetic (and illegal) “BUSES” license plate cover was “issued” to this MTA bus supervisor to avoid MTA bus cameras.

Responses by NYPD and NYPD Traffic in Manhattan have greatly improved (for non precinct related issues) in the past year.

I highly recommend more folks take a new pass at trying to re-assert parking regulations.

In September 2025 NYPD recorded a response of “summons issued “ to 24.7% of illegal parking reports in Manhattan (up from 13% a year ago and 11% two years ago).

It’s far from perfect, but you can work with this.
