fyi: version 1.0.4 is online in Play Store (was available via GitHub before, oc). It fixes the layout issue (mostly on Pixel phones). It includes translations (French, German and Swiss-German).

it was something different. I used a specific constructor for the layout which caused the whole screen to update together with the log textbox. That was a silly mistake. As I said, I'm not a good coder 🙃
