Siri is sinking deeper into its stupidity. When I ask it to remind me about something later, it now asks which Reminder list I want to add it to. I don’t care—just remind me! Otherwise, I’d just write the reminder myself.

Is it just me or Apple Siri is getting more and more dumb? Since recently it so often either doesn’t understand me at all or understands wrong. Very simple commands like “Turn on the light” - instead it tries to find a song in my collection. It just feels broken 🤷‍♂️

Using AI for exploring new things is awesome: opened Zed, started typing `alias brewup=` and it already puts "brew update && brew upgrade -g && brew cleanup"

After how many attempts did it manage to do the right fix? I noticed that Cursor+Claude need quite a few attempts even with basic things (ok, maybe because it was Flutter and not the most popular libs, but still…)

Recently reinstalled MacOS on my laptop and decided to use Homebrew for installing all apps. That's not the first attempt, but somehow this time it worked out: so far only JetBrains Toolbox and maybe a few other apps are installed manually - all other went through `brew install`.

Yes, I can’t say if it’s better or worse - not that much experience. But in the end, they both are of the same kind - work via build_runner (or later - via macros). Would be nice to have something more “built-in”. That would also mean better (hopefully) support across all tools (IDEs, other libs).

That’s the biggest pain point IMO. Libs like Freezed help a lot, but it’s awesome to have it built-in to the framework (not the language though).

IDEs are fun, while Gradle - not. Only the fact that I get money from my employer forces me to ever touch Gradle 😀

Exactly! That’s how I also usually discover such “hidden gems” 😁 That’s the only case when I would like to have these “onboarding” steppers (that usually instead show obvious things after the signup).

Such patterns are always hard to find. Probably there should be some hints that pop up periodically until the user actually use the feature. Otherwise, too few users use it, and then it’s just legacy that devs have to maintain.
