Theorizing can be fun. I also see people theorize themselves into a corner, imagining a completely different show w completely different characters from what's intended. Largely, I ignore this and make what I'm gonna make but, I hope people go into KOG with open minds bc (1/4)

Genuinely really like this site, esp compared to the alternative, but I really dislike how the staff interacts with a lot of the userbase very cynically. I get that some people can be very rude but when you're being sarcastic to genuine concerns it's pretty bad PR

This is a simple floor background but it reminds me of something I'm seeing that artists want to watch out for.
That's perspective lines leading to mechanical drawing. Lay down some guide lines, sure, but get in there and wing it.
People like drawings not lifeless mechanical lines.

A group of DAILY PLANET reporters are in a meeting, Clark Kent is responding to a question from his boss. CLARK: "Well, chief, the bombing campaign--" PANEL 2: Clark is talking and the other reporters and co-workers look unhappy. CLARK: "Obviously war in the region is not-ah-"ideal," but regime change could ultimately provide socioeconomic benefits that far outweigh the regrettable civilian casualties..." A picture I made going over the possible origins of a certain type of modern cartoon art style; going over how many artists are connected to Thurop Van Orman's cartoon "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack", how certain cartoonists were influenced by anime, zines; and the most ironic of all, Spumco. I see a lot of diehard Spumco elitists and John K. defenders bash modern animation, which is why I consider this to be ironic.

getting real tired of grifters who think they know about the animation industry painting terrible pictures about it based on what they see as "beanmouth" and "calarts", so I made this as a way to show where the origins of this art style most likely came from to educate people.
