I remember seriously considering the Ace after reading this very article. Forth seemed a fascinating language. In the end I waited and then got Forth for my BBC Micro, on cassette, eventually having it selectively loaded on boot up from an EPROM. I learned Forth before I even touched Pascal or C.

LOL! Well, I had booked an aisle seat right at the back so that I wouldn’t have anyone kicking the seat or talking behind me, but once the show started and I realised nobody else was coming in I snuck down the front. 😁 My own private screening. 😁

I went to the 60th Anniversary Thunderbirds screening at our local cinema this morning. It was awesome, but also a little sad as I was the only person in the theatre!

My pride and joy. A vintage 1983 JV Series Squier Stratocaster. All original. I bought it second hand in 1987 for £150 (on H.P), and it has stayed with me ever since. I love this guitar.

Back in the early 90s I worked at a company in Cambridge who were creating titles for the Philips CDI system. Another promise of interactive TV that pretty much went nowhere.

I had a BBC Micro Model B. It was awesome and opened the gateway for my programming career. I had the lid off and added extra memory, an EPROM board and a floppy drive. BASIC was just the start. I had Forth, Lisp and Assembler. An incredible machine.
