All it takes to debunk the theory that thousands of kids were pushed into gender-affirming surgeries is to talk to literally any trans person who has tried to get gender-affirming care of ANY kind. It's extremely difficult.

Yeah, that makes sense. Maybe one of the reasons I think differently is because the 80s were shit for my family and I grew to understand why. I've always understood that although our lives are similar now, my friends who were born middle-class think differently.

I wonder if that's because older people remember the post-war growth and what created it, whereas gen x don't and because it's never talked about, they don't realise what utter crap we are expected to believe about economics.

Junior Gen X here. I think there's an element of truth to that though. Most of us were raised by boomers and have had their ideals and expectations to learn from and live with but unlike them we have seen society decline. Some of us have risen above it; some haven't.

Indeed: when I joined the Greens the first time around (I left to rejoin Labour after voting for Corbyn) him as leader via my Union membership), they immediately phoned me to ask if I would stand at the local elections. On a positive note, this didn't happen when I rejoined a couple of years ago.

I will never again think that Labour might do the right thing. There are a couple of people left who might but the longer they stay the less and less I think of them.

Like Sylvia says it depends on who is leader at the time: and that will be determined by the same people who will never let 2015 happen ever again.

Pretty much guaranteed that Labour would prefer a Reform government to a Green-led one and they'd sit back and let that happen. But their polling can definitely go lower.

They are FIVE points ahead of Labour.

The Gorton and Denton by-election is convincing Labour voters the Greens aren't a wasted vote.

And they're just 2 points behind Reform!

We can't have economic migration into the UK but oh the poor "ex-pats".

It probably helps that the party is more or less all on the same wavelength and certainly doesn't spend its time trying to get one over on the party leader.

It's fascinating to watch cooler Labour heads like Sadiq Khan and Andy Burnham say that comparing the Greens and Reform together is a terrible tactic.

Yet Labour ministers are hourly on shows keeping up the same narrative.

The Green Party and Reform are completely the opposite!

We get fobbed off with 1% EVERY SINGLE YEAR and then have to strike or threaten to strike to get the lowest paid more than that. We get about 1.5% at best.
