Today’s ruling made it clear:

The United States and our allies must continue to pressure Hamas to finalize a deal and return all hostages — living and deceased — so we can start building a better future for both Israelis and Palestinians.

This is a critical moment for Israel, the Palestinian people, and the region.

The hostages who have been held for more than 700 days will finally be reunited with their families. A lasting peace that ends the suffering of the Palestinian people and frees them from Hamas's rule is within reach.

House Speaker Mike Johnson says he'll swear in Rep.-elect Grijalva next week Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson said Thursday that he’ll soon swear in Arizona’s newest congresswoman, Adelita Grijalva.

Yesterday, the people of Arizona were promised representation next week. Now, Speaker Johnson backtracked again and said he's keeping the House closed next week too.

#AZ07 should not be stuck without federal support or a say in Congress any longer.

Another day, another delay from Speaker Johnson.

Southern Arizona deserves a voice in Congress now, not just once it’s politically convenient for the House GOP.

Administer the oath to Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva now.

Totally unacceptable that Speaker Johnson won’t swear in Adelita Grijalva immediately.

He refused to swear her in on Tuesday, and now he's refusing to swear her in tomorrow, though she is in Washington and stands ready.

Men and women are held to same standard in their combat fitness tests.

Women soldiers routinely pass and exceed these standards and go on to bravely serve our country.

Don't disrespect their service.

Congressional Republicans won't even come to the table.

USDOT will not enforce Biden wheelchair passenger protection rule The U.S. Transportation Department said on Monday that it will not enforce key provisions of a Biden administration rule issued in December requiring new consumer protections for disabled passengers using wheelchairs.

Cruel for no reason.

A damaged wheelchair isn't just an inconvenience, it’s a complete loss of mobility. This rule would make flying safer and easier for passengers with disabilities, including our disabled veterans.

If Congress doesn't act to renew health care tax credits, Arizona families will see their premiums skyrocket.
 
Doing nothing is not an option.
 
Congressional Republicans need to come to the table and negotiate a spending deal that puts a stop to their worsening health care crisis.

I'm urging Speaker Johnson to follow his own precedent and administer the oath of office to Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva tomorrow during the pro forma session of Congress.

Southern Arizona must not be left voiceless another day.

Saddened to learn of the passing of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints President Russell M. Nelson. A pioneering heart surgeon turned global faith leader, he devoted his life to service.
