I also want to note that trans people aren't the only community facing this treatment - deaths of black mothers in pregnancy, widespread mistreatment of neurodivergent people and people with chronic illness and many other issues result from a similar combo of political neglect and malice.

The news about the banning of prescribing puberty blockers and cross sex hormones to under 18s is bad, but I just want to say that transitioning post-puberty does not doom you to never pass (if that’s what you want to do). It is absolutely untrue that “you can always tell.”

Hormones for under 18s have been banned on the basis of a fake review conducted by a head injury specialist.

That said last week we did have 2 hymns with Welsh hymns but they were also relevant. Dyma Gariad/ Here is Love vast as the ocean links with John 3:16 as does I will sing the wondrous story

11 years ago I went to a dire service on 1st March (which wasn't St David's Day because it was in Lent) but the hymns were chosen on the grounds of Welsh tunes and the sermon was pie in the sky when we die and there was no link between anything.

That is the main church set but I thought of it a 20th century.

Also realised I misread the OP and thought they were having the hymn every three weeks rather than having it on the Sunday nearest Stv Patrick's Day. To which I day there are more Irish hymns available. St Patrick's breastplate

Meanwhile there is some small cause for optimism. The Green Party’s policy positions on trans healthcare are better and last I checked also include a trans-led public inquiry to hold people accountable.

The NHS say this flows from the Cass Review but this is a distortion. Cass’ conclusions say the evidence for trans kids’ HRT is “inconsistent” but if you actually read the Review’s own evidence it shows positive outcomes! That’s 1 reason Cass was rejected by international medical authorities.

I agree. I am so fed up of this. Ban conversion therapy now. And if your practices are caught in that ban, it is because they are conversion therapy and you should stop doing them.

btw about that pixar thing, the reason why these people think having a conversation about gay people with kids is difficult is because they don't know a way to say to their kid "gay people are normal but you are not allowed to be one" without sounding like a bigot (there is a reason for that)
