Right, because I've now seen misunderstandings of this enough times that it's got me worried that people don't know this - transgender people in the UK are protected by the Equality Act 2010 under the category of gender reassignment.
*That* was not under discussion today and hasn't changed.
Delighted this output from our @leedsteaching.bsky.social fellowship is published. We were very fortunate to get two years of funding to engage critically with the notion of global citizenship.

Please show your support for @uniteucu.bsky.social who are on day 3 of their strike today that began on Monday, for a Safe & Professional Workplace. I’m ashamed that it has become necessary for workers to strike against my union @ucu.org.uk /1

Two brief requests:
1. Please remember not all disciplines are the same.
2. When you say that someone without active research can't teach at university, you're saying I can't do my job. Thanks.
It really was a bingo card of leadership cliches. Here ‘my decision to dissolve the AN in June was criticised because people didn’t understand it’

That’s obviously going to work out….
Macron currently explaining to the French people why he is right and the Parliament they elected is wrong.
Not, shall we say, edifying…..
France’s government collapsed last night.
Now it finally falls to President Emmanuel Macron to step up and confront a snowballing political and economic crisis.

What do I think? It’s a mess, the political class needs to sort themselves out and a constitution can’t help with that.
