Devastating to hear of passing of Mark O’Connor with his wife & son in Co Louth.

Mark was outstanding advocate for improved autism services and spoke at number of meetings we organised in Dublin over the years.

My deepest condolences to his family and all who were touched by his life and advocacy.

With 4000 kids sleeping in homeless accommodation tonight, we can’t have a scenario where we have families living in hotels and tourists living in houses.

I was on Drivetime this evening to discuss the issue of short term rentals & other housing matters.

Breaking: Interns can’t survive on coffee & ‘experience’. Their landlords don’t accept CV lines as rent.

Too many young people are stuck in unpaid & exploitative internships.

On Tuesday I voted for a Directive that prevents these abusive practices & guarantees interns fair pay & fair treatment.

Ireland has some of the highest drug use and overdose rates in Europe - our outdated drug policy is failing.

But the EU is moving forward 🇪🇺

Yesterday I convened the first meeting of a new European Parliament group on drug policy.
