I play both and love them both. Objectively, NMS won over FFXIV ‘cause of price point.

They’re both fun in their own rights, but spending $40 (iirc) for a generally fun space pewpew game vs. a $70 + sub game with a learning curve? The former should win in that respect every time.

Mfer’s gonna release a $20 DLC, take maybe 5% at most for the company, and donate the rest to charity or smth; they’ve been pushing new content THAT. HARD.
And it’s a lot of casual ‘sploring fun. Events are always big, the community is all about helping each other when they can, and cool spaceships.
