Reviewing the Ames ballot before going to vote today I realized this is true, because you basically only have enough people running where there's one person you're leaving off. You're really making a decision on who to leave off the ballot (bench) as opposed to voting for anybody

What a fucking chump this guy is. The fact that people not only voted for this guy, multiple times, but see him as some sort of bastion to follow is so pathetic. Our country is run by a bunch of weak men that are trying to earn the love of fathers that they'll never get. Losers, all of them.

It's totally okay to not like stuff. Virtually nothing is universally liked. But if you don't like something, simply don't engage with it. Not everything in the world needs to be something you take a hard public stance on. Plenty of real world shit worthy of getting actually upset about.

At risk of wading into today's inevitable discourse, something I tell my high school band kids: Life is way more fun when you stop trying to be perceived as cool. It's okay to just enjoy the things you like, rather than trying to seem cool because you don't like certain things.
