You’re confusing Li batteries w/ 25% tariffs, and raw Li which has no tariff. Telsa is bringing in raw Li, refining it in TX, and making batteries in NV to avoid the battery tariff. Your original question was why isn’t that all happening in NV? The answer is environmental controls in TX are lax.

I have read reports that ICE is active in TX, but are more low key and non- confrontational. Thus they don’t incite the protests we are seeing in other States.

If ICE is doing such great work, why aren’t these Republicans welcoming them with open arms?
