This was the first week of me running Quel Solaar as a proper Game development Studio with 2 employees. I’m funding it all out of my own pocket, and while I’m very unlikely to see any of that money ever again, Im determined to have the best of times, and make cool stuff.

At GDC in 2001 I gave a not very great talk about GI. One of the techniques I Invented and named was ”Bent normals”. Today this is a very common technique in engines. But I have no idea if my idea percolated, or if it was reinvented by others, so I cant really take credit for it.
