so like what am i supposed to do… 💀 spend $900+ on a wacom movink pro 14, only for the same problem to bite me in the ass a few years from now? i know working at a desktop would be best, tech-wise, but i don’t want to go back to that setup right now for many reasons.

any advice is welcome

don’t have the high levels of pen pressure that are best for professional artwork. the specialized android tablets don’t seem to update their OS, leaving me to consider the windows OS.

same here… i’m trying to research an alternative that will last me longer than 11 months (got this for christmas last year 🙃). i think the best option for longevity would be a folding laptop or the huion kamvas studio 16. unfortunately, those are both expensive options and the folding laptops (1/2)

it’s awful! i’m so sorry you can’t even redownload it now, it’s such a crummy situation… i voiced my complaints to both parties and got no help.

also apparently, the current MDP on the XP-PEN website is the gen 2, which runs on android 14, but it doesn’t make that clear unless you check the specs.

apparently the huion kamvas 16 runs windows, which i had no idea about until rn, so that could help… but it’s ridiculously expensive and less portable. 😭 fuuucckk.

may i ask why you do/don’t like it? i’ve pretty much ruled out a galaxy tablet from my choices, but i’d like to hear what you think!

update: i have sending more emails and it’s looking bleak… this tablet cost me almost $500 and i haven’t even been able to get one year’s use out of it with the program that came pre-installed and i currently pay a subscription fee for. fuck.

this model is barely 2 years old and now i can’t update the art program it was bundled with and pay for.

at best, this is a massive obsolescence oversight.

this is beyond frustrating. using an android tablet with CSP has changed my art habits so much and has been a HUGE accessibility boon to me, as someone who struggles with depression, fatigue, and body aches. i will be contacting XP-PEN directly, but i don’t know if anything will/can be done.
