Let this day be a call to honor,
a moment to celebrate,
and a promise to never stop working
for a world where everyone is free.
If something in you still feels unsure, pause.

This is not a chapter of history to look past in discomfort.
Bearing witness to our reality is the heart of what freedom requires.
Juneteenth is not just about the past.
It’s about the work of repair.
The truth-telling.
The deep listening.
The celebration of Black joy, strength, and possibility.
Black Americans shaped this nation, with scientific and engineering innovations, the labor that built its bones,
and the culture and resistance that continues to define the American story.
Juneteenth is the day we remember that moment.
Not because freedom came easily, but because it came anyway.
Because Black Americans kept rising.
Kept building.
Kept believing.
Freedom should not have taken that long.
But on June 19, 1865, enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas, were finally told they were free.
3.5% of a population activated is what is needed to affect change. We DID THAT in the streets yesterday with totals at 12.1 million!!! NOW it's the time to push harder for what and who you care about. Don't back down - WE THE PEOPLE HAVE THE POWER.
