In a black-bronze pot near a fire pit, a medium green plant with oblong mint like leaves reaches one flower stalk to the sky. The flowers are long and tubular, with a deep orangey coral color.

They are pretty and, pretty edible!

A small combed bundle of tan yucca fiber rests on a dirty hand. The fiber has a loose knot in it to keep it together. The background is a short blue carpet, and you can see a section of the crafter's shoe.

I retted leaves from multiple Yucca filamentosa over the winter. This fiber is from just three of them!
