The H1-B visa thing is, like everything else in the Trump administration, set up to carve up exceptions for friends and punish enemies. It’s the authoritarian thru-line that stitches everything together.

She also understands what the average American wants to buy. Not my personal choices but they are the most popular (unhealthy) ones.

People will feel “bad news” at the grocery store and when they lose their jobs or worse someone in their family dies because of these policies. The question is whether it will change their vote and more so whether those opposed to Trump’s policies will even be able to cast their vote.

And 45% of Republicans are thrilled or happy. WTF are they so delighted about? Higher prices? Job loss? End of Medicare? Lack of access to life-saving vaccines? Or it it just the cruelty (to others) they delight in?
