Tessa's performance was unremarkable, but didn't hinder my enjoyment of the presentation. The production was quite lavish, and the gender swapping made for an interesting and fresh context for those characters. We can't all enjoy everything I guess, but finding more to enjoy in a movie always helps.

For anyone who's familiar with the original play, or seen any of the scores of TV adaptations, or the single movie adaptation that I can remember ever being made with the late Glenda Jackson; this is a more than decent reimagined presentation. Nina Hoss's performance is the standout worth the watch.
