Air pollution linked with high blood pressure in kids Children exposed to common air pollutant in the womb and infancy may be at higher risk for elevated blood pressure, DEOHS research finds

Our member Catherine Karr and her colleagues have shown that a child’s blood pressure may be influenced by exposure to air pollution before and shortly after birth. High blood pressure in children can lead to long-term health problems.
