Meanwhile all the stupid data centres will escalate electricity prices even more and destroy our ability to decarbonise a lot of industry in exchange for minimal jobs and feck all tax revenues.

Europe (+uk), need a combined tech strategy.
We cannot properly fight the USA while out lives are so entangled in USA tech. Replacing gmail, iPhones, Amazon, Netflix with home grown products is currently impossible.
