Reminds me of everything I dislike about newer homes/renos. Everyone seems to like that same super-generic look, it’s fairly boring. Also, the carpet in the garage and “ensuite” were… choices. I can *kind of* reason out the missing bathroom wall, nice open floor plan and all… not sure on carpet.

Kiddo came into the room I’m in, sat down and said “Mother. What does c*nt mean?” So I told her. She said “So there’s this this cup that says “unt” and the handle is the C…” She went on to explain how she saw it in a Youtube video. Then she asked me to buy it for her. 🤣 Told her, “Yeahhh… no.” Lol.

Underneath the mountain of blankets I’d retreated from the world into, I started to clean my poor neglected house and after all the mopping and scrubbing I’m finally comfortable in it again.

It feels weird not having anything pressing to do. Guess I’ll go over old course materials.

Last class was done Thursday. Had to spend a day or so digesting the fact that I bombed one of my finals so hard that a class I was previously passing I ended up failing (it didn’t help that I’d apparently completely missed an assignment somehow). Decided to retake it. After I’d crawled out from

My photo shows the front of a warm-yellow coloured Minoan clay flask, hand painted in black with a frontally depicted octopus. The flask measures 27 cm (about 10.5 inches) in height. It has a short spout at the top with a small loop handle at either side. The octopus is swimming diagonally with its eight writhing, sucker-lined arms covering the whole surface of the flask. It stares out at the viewer with wide, almost cartoon-like eyes. Additional motifs include sea urchins, tritons, small rocks and seaweed. Minoan decoration depicting sea motifs is known by scholars as the ‘Marine Style’. The flask was excavated in 1903 at a Bronze Age settlement site at Palaikastro. The Palaikastro excavations, carried out between 1902 and 1906, were run by R. Bosanquet and R.M. Dawkins from the British School of Athens. The flask is part of the collections at Heraklion Archaeological Museum, Heraklion, Crete.

A four-panel collage pairs characters from The Golden Girls with names of Greek goddesses. The top left shows Dorothy labeled “Athena.” The top right shows Rose labeled “Demeter.” The bottom left shows Blanche in a red dress labeled “Aphrodite.” The bottom right shows Sophia labeled “Hecate.” Each name appears in large colored text over the corresponding character’s image.

Tourette syndrome activist John Davidson says Bafta told him ‘any swearing would be edited out of the broadcast’ Davidson said he ‘can’t begin to explain how upset and distraught I have been’ over slurs he shouted during the award ceremony

So the BBC promised Davidson and StudioCanal (who made I Swear) that any swearing tics would be edited out from broadcast, and instead they left them in despite a two hour delay, and even put a fucking microphone right in front of him to ensure they picked it up - he was sat at the back of room.

This popped up in my feed, sorry for the random opinion- personally, I’m enjoying it. I appreciate some silliness, and the show seems to be striving for some balance while it finds its feet. Also being mindful of the fact that I’m not really the target audience.

Poor bubs. I agree that the tangled hypothesis is most likely- There are quite a few YouTube videos by some good people who make it a habit to go out and catch pigeons for the express purpose of removing string and other fibers from around their toes/feet.

Husband wanted to make a store run yesterday AM. Snowing excessively the entire time... Was getting in the car, I looked at the sky and said "Stop touching me. I DIDN'T CONSENT TO ANY OF THIS!"

... This prob would have been funnier if it stopped snowing right then. It did not. Was worth a try. 😂

It was madness Tifa... to save progress we needed these memory card thingies that slotted on top of the controller ports. And the original controllers didn't even have thumb sticks!
