#supermoon of December (the 'Cold Moon'), imaged tonight in the focus of the #Celestron C9.25 EdgeHD (f=2350mm), single image with #Nikon #Z8. This image will serve as color for a high resolution mono I captured too. Processing it tomorrow.

#Saturn moons tonight, all aligned to the right side of the planet. Double exposure, once for Saturn, once for the moons. Stacked in PS. Iapetus missing because of too short a break in the clouds to get a second frame. Mimas in glare of Saturn

#saturn tonight, with rings tilt less than 0.5 deg. We will have to wait till 2038 to see them fully edge on. But the coming 2 weeks you still have the chance to see them like this. Imaged with my #Celestron C9.25 EdgeHD telescope.

Probably my last image of #comet C/2025 A6 #Lemmon. Weather has not been good the last month, I missed the best of this comet. This one taken with the comet passing behind tree branches :). With #Celestron C9.25 EdgeHD, #Nikon #Zf, 60 x 15s. #astronomy #astrophotography #space #comets

Finally! After a month of clouds, a short break in the cloud cover for #comet C/2025 A6 #Lemmon. I could make 6 x 15s exposure with Nikon Z6 and 85mm 1.8. Comet easy visible with naked eye, and over 10 degrees tail in binoculars. Then again... clouds.

#Saturn on Sep. 30, imaged with #Takahashi #Mewlon 210 telescope with fair seeing. Transparency not ideal, hence a bit more noise than usual because of the higher gain used on the camera. Rings are slowly closing (again).

Well, that's because it was stacked once on the comet, once on the stars, and combined. Otherwise trails would be long. You can already see trailing a bit of the movement in the individual 2m frames, as I was tracking on the comet.

My season's best #Saturn image of last night, near the limits of my #celestron C9.25HD with Saturn just 35 deg high. Details on the image. The Seeliger effect of opposition is clearly visible (bright ring), the faint oval has rotated a bit away.

Projection of my infrared image of the south pole of #Saturn. It shows a decagon form. Weirdly enough, the decagon stays put and does not rotate with the planet. Original image made of 5 infrared images, derotated with #Celestron C9.25HD at f/25.

I have used lots of telescopes in my life, but the C9.25 has always been the best compromise on aperture and portability.
