My father traveled in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran, and wept because the families hosting him were so poor, and yet they gave feasts and invited neighbors in to greet him.

I think I should use this as one of those enticing 1 star reviews ๐Ÿ˜‚
If you want gay sex in a fantasy detective story, hit up THE REANIMATOR'S HEART, especially if you like autistic necromancers accidentally reanimating their detective crush, so they can solve his murder.

I was born in an Iranian prison. My parents were held in their jails. My uncles lie in their mass graves.
Nothing you can tell me about the crimes of the Iranian regime that I haven't lived in blood and bone.
That doesn't mean I want my people bombed, maimed, killed, their homes in ruins.
If your vision of liberation comes only through the destruction of innocent lives, then it's not freedom you're after.
Sahar Delijani, Iranian author

I am pro Iranian people. I stand with them against their own governmentโ€™s repression AND against the imperial violence in the form of bombs dropped from the sky from Israel & the US who have already killed hundreds.

I support neither imperialism or dictatorship.

Sahar Delijani said it best:

A children's hospital is renamed for Dolly Parton and hopes to transform pediatric care in Tennessee Dolly Partonโ€™s name might inspire full-throated sing-a-longs to her working womanโ€™s anthem โ€œ9 to 5,โ€ or evoke memories of thrilling days spent at her Dollywood theme park.

โ€œDolly Parton Childrenโ€™s Hospital did not share how much Parton donated as part of the naming announcement. But Matt Schaefer, its president and CEO, said her support would ensure โ€˜every child who walks through our doors receives the treatment they deserve.โ€™โ€

GOD BLESS DOLLY PARTON

Book Bans โ€˜Kill Creativity,โ€™ Sow Self-Doubt in Authors For the past few years, author Charlotte Sullivan Wild has been working on a picture book about an LGBTQ+ family who learns to cope with one memberโ€™s deployment to the military. The story is inspiredโ€ฆ

As hard as we are fighting, book bans are having an impact on the books being written and published. To put this another way, a very small number of well-funded people who don't write books, don't teach books, don't work in libraries are trying to decide what books are available for everyone else

Being able to drive as ourselves and use the correct bathroom are essential to basic everyday life โ€” they aren't privileges afforded to only people who aren't transgender.

ACLU sues to block Kansas anti-transgender bathroom and ID law: โ€˜Cruel and horrifyingโ€™ Kansas this week invalidated the IDs of transgender Kansans who changed the gender marker on their driverโ€™s licenses or birth certificates.
