The place Winnipeg I talked to has been doing it since January 2025. They've done about a dozen. The worst result was someone who didn't think it would be worth the follow up treatments. The best cried with joy.

I'm not worried about that, or having it done by optometrist. It's not surgery or medicine. Everything I've read says it's safe and almost always at least somewhat effective.

BTW, I have read the joint statement, and it is not strongly against it. Some ophthalmologists do recommend it for some patients.
