Yes! Some periods need certain scales. Can't get the length of line or multiple lines in a much bigger scale. This gives that, and also real flanks and rears.

6mm suited for this type of game. Lots of regiments and long and multiple lines.

In a brilliant if accidental bit of role-play, one player had left their reading glasses two floors down, and was unable to read the reconnaissance report from their scouts, but also unwilling to suffer the indignity of it being read to them. Aristocrats!

As commands got close to table entry, this was communicated to players opposite using text messages - a 'large force of cavalry is approaching from the eastern side of the woods' and the like.

Preparation included deforming the map to fit on a 12x6 table - but to still contain the key features, points. I also set up the game with commands in place but then removed many at the start of the game so they could enter in the sequence they historically did.

A few days ago I posted pics of my Ramillies in 6mm. I knew I had other photos from a WSS battle, but couldn't immediately find them. Now I have! I give you Oudenarde in 6mm, with about 7000 teensy-tiny lads!

I do several sessions a week, but there are gap days, owing to scheduling/exhaustion/not feeling it. Collate pics and share them on Wednesdays as a batch?
