Then again, I could just be wrong here. again, I am not well versed in things like programming.

Not a developer, but rewinding can be a bit more taxing on a system than just simple save states. N64 emulation, even now, is not an exact science, with some games still not able to emulate at 100% efficiency. Bearing in mind that the system is also running the OS and the recording function as well.

Not really, when compared visually between the two, Switch 2 does look sharper. At least from the videos I have seen. We won't know for certain until the console is out and some actual comparisons can be done.

I generally had to watch this 3 times to understand what was changed/modded, but after spotting it I can't unsee it.
