25.01.2026 12:27 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0A painting. In the background firtrees. Through the painting there is a stream, next to a stream a man is doing something with old-timey equipment, powered by a waterwheel. The angle of the waterwheel is really odd, and doesn't follow the stream at all.
A painting. In the background is a lake in front of a couple of mountains. In front of the lake are some trees and two very odd moose, one male and one female. Their back legs are In weird positions, they kind of look like they need to pee. The female's face almost look more like a wolf than a moose.
A couple of wonky paintings that I grej up with.

Strength to & solidarity with everyone participating in the general strike today. My thoughts are with everyone fighting on behalf of their neighbours, in Minnesota & everywhere.

"The blood was only ever a means to an end," the vampire confessed in the interview.
"To what end?" the reporter asked.
"Blood carries vigor, life force, vital energy. That's what we feed on."
"So how do you get it, if not through blood?"
"These days, we make doom scrolling apps to drain it."

Good to know. Many artificial sweeteners have laxative effects & I'm oversensitive to those. No soda for me when I visit the UK.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was entertaining.

PS. Everything Is Tuberculosis by John Green. Readable and informative about an extremely important topic!

Giving students thoughtful, personalized feedback and instruction is not a problem that originates from the difficulty for an instructor to generate feedback, it is a problem that originates from institutions pivoting to student:instructor ratios where that dynamic is not logistically feasible.

Eyes of the Void was so good!!!
Now for something different: The Werewolf of Whitechapel by Suzannah Rowntree.
