Had a lot of fun with Alien Earth and the creature designs. Loved that they managed to capture a lot of the aesthetic of the original 1979 film as well. Did you enjoy it?

It was a half decent body horror with plenty of Cronenberg style practical effects (and a bit of CGI). Little bit creepy in places but at times felt pretty one dimensional and on the nose. A shame, it had the potential to be a really decent original film

Photograph taken on a very cold November day out at a country park in Lancashire. If you zoom in, below the sunbeams is a fish ladder which helps fish migrate past the waterfall, so I was told. Every day's a school day! Image shows a shallow ledge waterfall from a calm river above, cascading in a tumbling mass of white over the rocky stream below. Above the waterfall is a line of late autumnal trees on a bank. In the bottom left corner are unruly grasses in olives and russet. A thin, wintery skeleton tree giving a strong vertical, grounds the scene from the bank on the right. Sunbeams blast into view from right to centre.

Looking up in an elaborately decorated room at the Alhambra. The walls are shades of cream and beige and covered in decorative tiles. You see the top of a Moorish arched doorway with an arched window above it that has a black metal gate on it. Above that, there's some ceramic looking decoration that's shaped like a v. At the top are 3 sets of 2 windows and an incredibly ornate honeycomb vaulted ceiling.

Insanely intricate interior

The Sala de Dos Hermanas at the Alhambra was truly amazing. I can't imagine the time it took to create this. Every surface is carved or designed.

Just incredible. Have recently returned from Seville which has similar outstanding Islamic architecture in amazing condition. The love and craftsmanship that went into those buildings and interiors is something else

Our photograph looks down over a quiet railway station from the vantage point of a bridge. The viewer is positioned directly above the tracks, looking straight along them as they stretch into the distance. Two parallel railway tracks run from the bottom center of the image toward the horizon, creating strong lines that guide the eye forward. On either side of the tracks are narrow platforms edged with bright yellow safety lines. The platforms appear empty and calm, with a few small details such as benches and railings visible along their edges. A decorative metal footbridge crosses the tracks about halfway down the scene. Its lattice-style sides form a delicate pattern, casting faint shadows onto the platforms below. Beyond this bridge, another overpass or structure sits further in the distance, adding depth to the scene. To the right side of the station stands a row of traditional houses with white walls and dark roofs. Several tall chimneys rise from the rooftops, their shapes silhouetted slightly against the sky. A stone wall runs along the platform beneath these houses, giving the station an old, sturdy character. On the left side are lower buildings and station structures with slanted roofs that catch a faint glimmer of light. Fencing lines the platform edges, separating the station from the surrounding area. Dominating the upper part of the image is a brilliant sun set high in a deep blue sky. The sunlight radiates outward in long, sharp beams, creating a dramatic starburst effect. The brightness of the sun contrasts strongly with the darker foreground, making the tracks and station appear partially in shadow. In the far distance beyond the station, the landscape opens into fields and a line of bare trees along the horizon, suggesting a rural or small-town setting. The overall mood is peaceful and still. An empty station resting beneath a powerful winter sun. Finally, our picture is finished with a white border frame.
