06.03.2026 01:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In case it wasn't clear, as I say in the video, the whole team at Dual Wield Studio cares about what we do, who we work with, and about the world in general. Doing fun creative things while the world spirals into atrocities feels dystopian; it's important to do what we can to support what matters.

Dual Wield Studio makes things we love for the things we love. Making merchandise isn't as important as saving lives, & we want to acknowledge that by making our stance on the current state of the world clear as we to try to do right by our staff, fandom, & the world

I'm not at Emerald City Comic Con this year so am living vicariously through everyone attending & hope y'all have a WONDERFUL time!!
PS also for dayjob - our lovely warehouse partners CRWN Studios have a booth at SUMMIT 28002 featuring some Dual Wield Studio merch :D pls swing by!
the rollercoaster I just went on because I went to renew my Driver's License online & the site just gave me a cryptic notice that I could not do it online & needed to call them
thankfully, it's just because they require in-person renewal after so many years; with EVERYTHING going on I was CONCERNED
Still nothing. 0.42/1740 needed for rent URGENTLY.
Please. If anything at all charges right now I am IN DEEP TROUBLE. Every single dollar counts. Every boost is gold right now.
PLEASE HELP.

It shouldnβt feel normal to wake up to news of a new atrocity committed by the US being lauded by our current administration as they once again clumsily swaddle their personal gain in propaganda and misdirection.
Impeachment is the LEAST our representatives should be doing.
Dang it Bskyβ¦!! Thank you for affirming the issue ainβt just me, I hope it gets rectified soon. Appreciate the consideration to want to help π

:/ This thread keeps disappearing when I try to add to it so Iβm ??? gonna leave it here.
Iβd love to know what accommodations other neurodivergent folks have found are most effective for them if you donβt mind sharing π
In the position I have now *leading* a company, I'm confronted almost daily with how so much of the way businesses are built, regulated, structured etc are (unintentionally) neurodivergent-hostile in ways that aren't at all easy to implement accommodations for but that I still have to figure out!
26.02.2026 19:35 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Figuring out how to fit accommodation needs into an existing framework not built for neurodivergence has been, in my experience, the most difficult aspect. In parallel, it's very similar to my dietary restrictions as a supertaster; communicating what I need sometimes goes great! Sometimes... awful.
26.02.2026 19:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Something challenging to figure out as a neurodivergent person is what reasonable accommodations are for what I need when balancing against an organization-wide process or procedure. I HATE being the guy causing friction, but when a thing *doesn't work* for my brain, I have to find alternatives.
26.02.2026 19:10 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Happy Birthday!! I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating & enjoying things that bring you so much joy π
25.02.2026 22:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you so much π
24.02.2026 21:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0thank you <3
24.02.2026 20:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm tempted to make a longer video digging into this stuff because, one, I just think it's neat, but two because folks deserve to be informed consumers!! Also, frankly, it's vastly more difficult to do things ethically; making anything gains extra steps, and cost, when you care about fair practices.
24.02.2026 20:34 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A lot of this is also because making ANYTHING is a risk; doing things as pre-orders helps mitigate this, especially for a small business. My ideal is offering options - for example, jewelry in a more cost-accessible material that still hits our standards, as well as an option in something like gold!
24.02.2026 20:30 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0
Another example: for a design on a garment done in embroidery or screen printing, each has its pros and cons. Embroidery, especially for large designs, can double, often TRIPLE the cost of production compared to screen printing & risks damage to the base garment.
So I elect screen printing.
As an example: thinking about where the cost in manufacturing spend needs to go, I'd rather that cost go to a higher rate for an ethical factory using good materials than super-fancy packaging that, yes, looks and feels premium but isn't why someone is buying a product.
24.02.2026 20:22 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A major consideration in product designs I'm working on, especially considering everything right now, is end cost to a prospective customer. It matters so much to make things that balance ethical manufacturing, fair pay, and reasonable cost; it's difficult when the whole industry focuses most on $$$
24.02.2026 20:20 β π 18 π 2 π¬ 2 π 0This is not what is meant by the ideal of helping train those who come after you π thatβs horribly bleak; I hope the person who got laid off finds something wonderful soon.
22.02.2026 23:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, anyone vehemently pro-AI is a major red flag to me too. Phil had his moments but I had some personal experiences and major disappointments in my experience with him that left me feeling like I could get better leadership from a Cracker Jack box π Iβd love to be wrong but it seems like bad news

I would love to see the next person stepping up to lead NOT be such a milquetoast coward, but Microsoft tends to favor those in spades.
Have the retirement you deserve, Phil. You could have done so much better.
This is so fucked up and has me seething π‘
