Yeah, at the beginning I was worried that I could miss something important. But I started getting SO MANY calls, multiple per day, that I just gave up. 🫠

I have been getting many of those for a long long time (more than a year, for sure - it was actually worse a while ago). They all seem like spam/scam calls. I just delete, don’t even listen to them.

I'm not a big shot Microsoft executive with MBAs and all those things, but it doesn't take much to see that this was probably a very myopic decision.

Recuperating those costumers later will require more money than the money you made with the price increase minus the subscribers drop. Plus, you damage brand perception, costumers don't trust you anymore, people invest time and money on your competitors...

I mean, okay, in a pure short term financial sense, if you bring your price up 50%, roughly means that if less than 50% of your costumers drop your service, you're making more money. But in the long run, it's a shot in the foot. People will be driven away from the Xbox ecosystem.

At 34 CAD / month, is best to simply buy games than subscribe. If you're like me, that has a PS5 as well, and has been invested in the PS ecosystem for years, ditching the Xbox is the only logical way of dealing with this. Since MS has been launching games on both systems, why having an Xbox console

This new #gamepass pricing makes no sense if you (like me) play only a few games a year. A big game like the upcoming Outer Worlds 2, or even Silksong (that is very hard and consumes lots of time) monopolizes your gaming time. So you basically play only one game at a time, maaaaaybe two.

Yeah, I prefer the minimalist thing. But I understand them wanting to move on from that. The problem is what they substituted it with 🤣

I’ll say that the OS in general is okay, there are a number of bug fixes and quality of life improvements. But the visuals… oh my god.
