Working on a change to the way structure unlocks are handled. Now, there is a research system with branching options that unlock using influence. Been testing it and it feels pretty good! Here's a basic tree from the demo version.

Settler's Domain on Steam Settler's Domain is a settlement-building game with citizen and resource management elements. Build structures, recruit settlers, gather resources, and uncover your surroundings to expand your domain.

The Settler's Domain Demo is out on Steam! It's meant to be a simple snapshot of the early game that can be completed in 30-60 minutes.

Pathfinding I've got a custom class that uses AStar (AStarGrid in Godot) in tandem with a flood fill implementation to keep track of what is reachable from where. It's certainly a tricky problem! Working well at the moment but I suspect I'll need to optimize more later

I always loved building/management games, and I really like the pixel style! So I started work and ended up having a great time creating it

Some footage from testing tonight! I want more videos of the game, but it needs a lot of visual touch ups before it's footage-ready. UI is coming along, but needs more work. Same with many of the visual indicators (white circles). Still, I like where it's headed!

I know right?? I love it! I hired an artist on Fiverr, which I know gets a bad rap, but I think they did an excellent job. I got a bunch of illustrations for my Steam page and was able to use one for the title page here as well.

Added some starting "animations" for a new world load!
Still needs some tweaking but I'm happy with the idea.
