This has been a slog but I’m pleased to day that I’m currently checking the proofs, which means this book will soon be out in the wild!

It's the 30th anniversary of Trainspotting's release. My favourite thing to come out of it was Ewan Bremner. I was vaguely aware of him because he was in Naked from a few years before and as he's actually from north Edinburgh he was the only cast member with an authentic local accent.

Made uncesssarily frightening for both children and teachers by overzealous border officials targeting minors on arrival as if they were unaccompanied migrants and not in a school party.

[the problem seemed to be kids in the party born outside the UK or on dual passports were targeted & isolated by border officials as individual travellers at the gate, locked in the glass boxes while their teachers were still stuck in the queues behind or already beyond the gate shepherding].

Denmark rescued a sick US sailor after US forces were incapable of providing modern medical care. The US sailor was evacuated by the Danish warship HDMS Vædderen off Greenland. The incident embarrassed Trump The Rapist to blurt out that he’s sending a “hospital boat”.
