This article is an important read and shows the danger of Kirk Milhoan as Chair of ACIP.

Hep-B is a proven deterrent for infant infection against the virus, and further weakening public opinion of the childhood immunization schedule poses a great risk to millions of kids across the country.

Quite literally the biggest cave Democrats could have accomplished.

No ACA subsidies = millions of Americans lose their healthcare.

A 40 day shutdown for nothing. Abysmal work from Senate Dems.

#1 issue for Kansans in the ‘26 Gov. race will be the economy.

How D’s and R’s navigate a popular Dem Governor and contrast Kansas v National economy will be of interest.

Campaigns need to speak to the over 50% of households making >$75k who are financially insecure. #ksleg

Redistricting in Kansas shows how divided American politics and the American people are.

The average Kansan wants healthcare and affordability, not @sharicedavids.bsky.social to be forced out.

Yet #ksleg continues to prioritize Washington DC’s issues, not Kansas’. Disappointing!

As the Feds ramp up their collaboration with private entities like Palantir, it’s obvious why Kansas shouldn’t share private citizen data.

It puts our privacy at risk!

Especially when the Feds historically haven’t had access to that data.

Unidentified men grabbing someone off the street and putting her in a car because she wrote an op-Ed. This as flatly authoritarian as anything we’ve seen in this country in a very long time.

SCR1611 passes out of the Senate on a 27-13 vote (1 vote shy of failing).

This is a bad bill that would could get rid of our merit-based Supreme Court Justice selection system and replace it with an election.

Judges are not politicians. Call / email your House Reps now!

House Tax is hearing HB2318 which is another attempt at a Flat Tax here in Kansas.

A Flat Tax would cripple our budget, and would work against Kansas children and their families.

Kansas needs progressive tax reform, not this!

Dozens of DOGE ‘receipts’ saved no money and killed contracts meant to boost efficiency Many of the receipts published by Elon Musk’s DOGE aren’t receipts at all — they’re negotiated deals with vetted vendors who might do future government work.

Dozens of DOGE "receipts" saved no money at all and actually killed contracts meant to boost efficiency.

In fact, many of the receipts published by Elon Musk's DOGE aren't even receipts.

Millions of Low-Income Households Would Lose Food Aid Under Proposed House Republican SNAP Cuts | Center on Budget and Policy Priorities Substantial cuts to SNAP would mean households with low incomes in every state would lose support they need to put food on the table, worsening food insecurity and hardship.

The Senate has been debating SB79: prohibiting certain foods to be purchased with SNAP.

This bill is an unfounded mandate on what lower-income Kansans can purchase with SNAP dollars.

Kansans shouldn’t be penalized for what food they buy, especially those who may not have other options.

We’ve got a lot of bills today: 42 in the Senate and 36 in the House.

I’m watching Senate, to name a few

❌ - Restrictions to SNAP
❌ - Restrictions to Medicaid
❌ - Anti-Public Schools

From a journalist friend: Just spreading the word. The CDC is purging data, so people should archive their favorite CDC datasets today, namely ones around race/ethnic diversity, LGBTQ, and reproductive health. Also health data involving climate. The youth risk behavior survey has already gone down.

Kansas Day - a tale of two Statehouses

First Floor: Celebrating Women's Suffrage with a new mural titled: Rebel Women.

Third Floor: The Kansas Senate passes SB63, banning gender-affirming care for Kansans under 18.

A stark contrast, but the reality for our current era of politics.

There are multiple reports that states are unable to request federal Medicaid funds at this time. If not resolved quickly, it could have significant ripples across the health care sector and major impacts on states financial stability. #Medicaid #healthpolicy
