Nice Things, Hand-Made by a Crafty Person
Chilly hands on this past unexpectedly bitterly cold weekend made me realise that I needed a matching pair of gloves to go with my favourite scarf - so that kept me busy for a few hours!

20+ hours’ worth of work & about 16,000 stitches later… I’ve finally finished my poncho! It drapes beautifully thanks to the alternating solid/mesh rows of dark lilac yarn, and you can wear it either short with long sleeves, or long with short sleeves. Phew!

I just make them as presents for my friends - 1) they take SO LONG to make, they would be ridiculously expensive to sell, and 2) the regulations for selling soft toys in the UK are really strict, so for one-off pieces like this, it could never really work.

Safe to say I breathed a sigh of relief when I stitched the last stitch and still had this much left!
