No parent should ever have to live in fear of the content their children may see.
The Molly Rose Foundations “Roadmap for a better online future” can be found on their website and I highly recommend reading it.
A blanket ban is not the solution to making our online sphere safer, we must not allow social media companies to forget their responsibility.
It was an honour to talk to Ian Russell about the steps needed to make the online world safer.

This week I shared the results of my Milton Keynes online safety survey in the Chamber.
Young people are being faced with dangers on so many different platforms from Roblox to Facebook and it is vital that we ensure they can navigate the online sphere as safely as possible.

It was a real privilege to attend the Molly Rose Foundation parliamentary reception where they laid out their roadmap on the necessary steps needed to tackle online preventable harms.

I’m glad that the Government is committed to supporting Hong Kongers in the UK.
The PM has announced that all social media firms must remove non-consensual “intimate images” within 48 hours of a report or face being banned in the UK.
Yet again showing that tech companies aren’t too big or powerful to be held accountable for being complicit in violence against women and girls.

Last Friday I met with Politics students at Oakgrove School for a great discussion about the issues that matter to them.
From voting at 16-17 to the role of AI and interference in our elections – it was great to hear from our next generation on how we should be addressing these!
