I agree - we shouldn't enshrine sharia law into our laws.

icymi - we're *not* losing SNAP benefits due to the shutdown.
We're losing them due to conservative cruelty.
There is an emergency fund to cover the costs.
Meant for exactly this circumstance.
They're choosing not to use it.
Once again, the cruelty is the point.

Looking through the gate, I saw dozens of people being loaded up in vans in the same clothes they were detained in.

it was always a bad economy

I technically have a 'trade deficit' with my grocery store,
cuz I buy *way* more from them than they do from me
(like, 100% more)
But that doesn't mean they owe me money,
cuz that's not how trade deficits work.
