PLEASE Somebody from germany, I remember buying big green plastic eggs at Aldi or Penny back in between 2008 and like 2012 I think, they were "Yugioh eggs" with booster packs from GX inside of them. I cant find any pictures but I have such a clear memory about them!

it was like pre internet crack, a real life book with every card printed until 2007 with pictures of them inside, I remember learning about the Yu gi Oh movie packs and the burgerking and Mcdonalds sets from the early 2000s

I remember buying a "price guide" book from like 2008 in 2008 that had all the yu gi oh cards ever released (american and european) thinking off "easily" with "Enough" work being able to add all these cards into some programm to make them work lmfao

yeah these days with computer vision its even more possible to do but I was going at it from a 14 year olds perspective in like 2012, my biggest wish for such a system being that you could just pull out what ever deck you had without prior preperation for it to work in such a system.

my first idea was having like a camera under each card placement that could read the card data / also see if its flipped, in attack position etc thinking about how the system would detect positioning of the card thinking about adding a small hole to one side so it would know which way around it be

Oh my god I cant explain to you how many hours I spend trying to work out a system where you can add NFC tags to Yugioh cards as a child with an accompanying software that would use 3D models like the show but with you being able to use your own deck etc. So many hours of my childhood
