Vantastrid pointed out a seam on their mask that showed up printing their 3D sculpt. Since this is going to be post processed anyways, it won’t be hard to get rid of.

Vantastrid smearing small amounts of bondo into the crack of the seam. *wear safety gear, vapor is no joke* Let the bondo dry.

Sand the bondo once it is dry. The seam is almost gone now. You can either repeat the bondo step or use filler spray in the next step if the imperfection is not resolved.

Spray filler primer onto the print, let dry and then sand. Poof the seam indentation is gone.

If anyone’s curious how I remove seam lines that appear sometimes in my sculpted prints:
1. Smear bondo (or wood filler) in the crack
2. Sand
3. Spray filler primer
4. Sand again
5. Poof, gone

P.s. super important to always wear safety gear, more description in alt text.

Thanks! I’ve done it 2 ways, both with a head base:

1. Sculpt the mask on a copy of the base, then subtract or Boolean the head from the mask mesh when you are done.
2. Sculpt the mask off the base, then use the mask tool to mask off the portion you want to be your mask and then “shell” inwards.

I tweaked the design of the observer mask and just made a one off for Halloween. I was going to paint this one gold but the red looks so good 😩
