Every time I joke about most people who "only listen to video game music" being instrumental jazz fans who don't know it, I get folks in the replies going "well, what if I only listen to Super Mario soundtracks?", and I'm afraid the answer is still instrumental jazz.
I've been playing Dragon Quest 3 (HD-Remake) and I came to a point where I needed to make a merchant to send off for the main story and I just kind of made a guy called "Fat Chud" thinking this would be of no consequence.
Immediately I'm faced with the consequence of my actions
The EVO situation is dire.

My point with this is for every 1 productive usage of a technology there's going to be 100 unproductive usages that are complete waste of resources.
But don't let that stop you from using the tech (productively)!
I think about "Good/Productive Use of AI" similar to this
When Gabe Newell was working at Microsoft he mentioned that MS wasn't interested in pushing PCs as a gaming platform b/c assumption most users only use PCs for work/productivity.
Research data showed majority of use was for gaming and porn.
For sure, and I definitely do not endorse AI for "Creative" use.
We can't ever expect AI to "understand" nuance because it's so subjective. I would hate to live in a world where art is completely dead and devoid of any soul or passion. :(
I get that. Iβve had a few bad answers too, but most of the time I get something like a 70% useful response. Either it gives me enough context to solve the rest, or refining the question helps.
TBF I mostly use it for lowβtech stuff and Microsoftβrelated queries. π
now I'm just thinking of Bojack Horseman with Goku hair.

I'm probably biased because I mainly use it in an IT context, but I've been saved of so much trouble of having to google some randomass software I've never heard of before and figuring out how to troubleshoot.
I'm able to find answers to questions that even my Seniors are clueless on - Neat!
Yes I get the downsides. They use tons of energy, and plenty of people wonβt think critically before acting on whatever answer they get. Those concerns are real.
But honestly? I know so many people who refuse to even try LLMs because the discourse around them is so negative. Itβs wild.
Unpopular opinion:
I actually like using generative chatbots/LLMs (Gemini/CGPT) [Not image generation]
Theyβve been super helpful for learning new stuff and pulling info together without digging through ten different tabs. I've never felt so unintimidated of learning new things.
