A few more stands complete for my English Civil War Pike and Shotte army. Two cannon and a command stand which will be King Charles and the Royal Standard. These smaller bases are a nice quick project that helps break up the infantry.

My first Lardy Day of the year, Herts of Lard is coming up fast. Needed some last minute reinforcements for my game “On The Road to Brussels”. Additional building, KGL light infantry and another group of French Light infantry Voltigeurs. #spreadthelard

Off the painting bench this week, Italian Bersaglieri for the 1911 invasion of Tripoli. Converted from Pendraken Miniatures, although I singularly failed sculpt convincing cockerel feathers from green stuff in 10mm. My fingers are too large! Back to 28mm this week.

Another fun experiment in repainting David Winter pieces for TTRPG use. Redid the roof with Army Painter Battlefield Grass and some basing clumps, then gave it stain glass windows.

Two months in I am on book 8. I have learned one new dish and have repaired 9 ties, to shirts and a jumper. I have also sewn a new tablecloth. Not too bad but not flashy either.

Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game.

My son requested we play this today. Absolute banger of a video game to board game adaptation. Lots of fun flavour and thematic connections to the video game but stand on its own legs. Similar to Massive Darkness but imo much better.

That is very true, it must never be a chore BUT the thing is, when I actually get around to do, even when I feel tired or stressed, it is actually good for me most of the time. It is just so hard to initiate it

Yeah the routine part is essential. My problem is that if I miss out on the routine I have a very hard time establishing it again

I can ascertain that the same applies to my work, but how can we motivate our self to work consistently with the hobby then? Because I truely love to do it. It brings me joy and relaxation but I sometimes sort of "forget" to do it, if I don't have an imidiate purpose, like a post on BlueSky

Three very interesting battles of #Midgard with 6 players at the club today. We haven't found a good way to integrate the battles yet, but we would love to, especially as we expect a few more players to join in. #spreadthelard

But my commitment should have been the same, right? But something about posting the result every day made a diference. I would like to do a whole lot of more hobby stuff again but can not commit to every day. I still think sharing is a too,l but how to use it in another way? 2/2
