Has anyone actually done the research to look at how many exorcisms are actually successful because as far as I can tell they never work and always make it worse #uncanny

The street built in the early 1800s has had a lot of people die in it? Funny that

This is absolutely sleep paralysis.
The first time I experienced sleep paralysis as a kid I thought a wolf man was standing over me. I could have sworn I was awake and the memory is as clear today as it was the night it happened #uncanny

Have suffered from full on altitude sickness and it is horrible. I absolutely couldn't sleep properly and saw some strange stuff #uncanny

@bloodyshellken.bsky.social I think "Danny gets a plumber in" should be added to the #uncanny bingo

I live in a Victorian house and the plumbing does weird stuff but it's because we recently transferred from spring water supply to mains and the pipework struggles with the increased pressure #uncannycommunity

Team sceptic here. "Nothing happened for a long time..."
Let me guess, after the baby was born?

So update: We were on our way to Billy Bob's so very close to Eastby Sanatorium at the time. Perhaps Yorkshire is a hotspot for shadow man sightings @dannyrobins.bsky.social

Can't wait for this evening - and not just because I saw a tall dark figure when I was in the car earlier (99% sure it was pareidolia but what if it wasn't 😬)

My favourite bit of tonight's #uncannypostmortem is seeing Ciaran's notes on his remarkable while sitting writing things on my remarkable πŸ˜‚

Ollie's experience definitely sounds like sleep paralysis and I wonder if some of Emily's were caused by sleep paralysis too.
I still remember vividly the first time I experienced sleep paralysis as a child even though I had no idea that was what it was at the time #uncannyCommunity #uncanny

1. European and UK ministers are still talking as if their biggest potential security problem is a withdrawal of US support. But that is not their biggest potential security problem. It’s that, under Trump, the US will back Putin not just diplomatically but also militarily. 🧡

Wow this is fascinating on the shadow man case. It makes me think there must have been some environmental conditions having an effect on people in that area at that time #uncanny #uncannyCommunity

Enjoying tonight's episode of #Uncanny but I feel like the mention of the parents' separation very early on is critical and yet not really explored, which I understand from the witnesses perspective but is very important for understanding what was going on for that family at the time.

Listening to how Julian experienced that as a child and his mother's reaction as well was the hardest hitting part of the story. It was clearly one of the most traumatic nights of their life and I really felt for them both. I agree that counselling may have made things turn out very differently

I think it may be my top episode. It was disturbing and moving. I agree that it is fascinating that our brains may create these figures when subjected to emotional trauma but also really terrifying.

The part of my brain that remembers anything from my anatomy degree was thrilled with this one.
The sceptic in me celebrated having guessed this may be a potential cause before Ciaran mentioned it πŸ˜‚

I wondered this. Or simply he has blocked out the memory due to the grief he was experiencing. I know Bridget suggested something similar on the show. To me what the mind can achieve is often far more interesting than attributing something to a ghost / paranormal
