My late mother's terror of lilacs inside the house made her hysterical—she also had this weird fear of purple and refused to wear that colour - I've since learned that, in the Catholic Church, funeral vestments are purple. That's my bit of weirdness for tonight.

PS: I wear a lot of purple.
