#NephJC in dialysis we treat numbers, much more than people.
Do we ask about QoL before ESA titration…

Again not sure higher Hb have significant benefit.
Mostly I’m treating anemia to avoid transfusions (liquid transplant, with significant complications).
I don’t believe in any Hb threshold based upon a number #NephJC

@nephjc.bsky.social can I do a straw poll - what are you doing WRT iron when TSAT low but Hb 120 or higher for example? Ie iron deficiency and no indication to start an ESA

I do give iron in those patients, hoping to avoid needing to start ESA. #NephJC
